Collection: Singer 2273 Accessories

Presser feet, needles and spares for the Singer Tradition 2273, a mechanical machine with a traditional shape, a front-loading bobbin and a 1-step buttonhole.

Class 15 bobbins fit the 2273's bobbin case. Needles are standard 130/705H. For buttonholes on shirts and blouses, a fresh universal 80/11 gives the neatest result, and a strip of interfacing behind the buttonhole stops it puckering.

To go with the buttonhole, the button sewing foot holds flat buttons in place while the machine stitches them on. Other good additions are an invisible zipper foot, a gathering foot and the walking foot for quilts and layered fabric.

Practise a buttonhole on a scrap of the same fabric with the same interfacing before you go near the garment.
