Why "Outlet"?

Good question - and one we get asked. The word outlet simply means we sell direct to you at the best possible prices. Almost everything we sell is brand new, genuine, and covered by the full Singer manufacturer's guarantee - nothing refurbished, nothing second-hand, no factory seconds.

From time to time we also offer Ex Display machines at a reduced price. These are always clearly marked as Ex Display so you know exactly what you are buying - genuine Singer machines that have been on display in our showroom or at an event, checked over by Singer engineers, and offered at a saving.

Why Singer?

For 25 years our team have worked across the sewing trade, and since 2019 we have been solely a Singer retailer. There is a reason we chose Singer. The machines are well built and durable, and with parts readily available they keep going for years and years. Then there is the heritage - over 175 years of it. For so many of our customers, Singer is the name they grew up with: a machine their mum or grandmother sewed on, sitting in the corner of the room for years. A real shop with a real service department

This is the part that sets us apart from the back-bedroom sellers. We are a bricks-and-mortar shop first - a physical premises in Hertfordshire where our team works every day, with machines on the shelves and engineers in the workshop. You're welcome to visit us in person if you'd like to see machines before you buy, or just to put a face to the name.

We also have a dedicated service and repair department staffed by experienced sewing machine engineers. Whether your machine was bought from us or elsewhere, we can help - both for local customers who can drop machines in, and nationally through our postal repair service. It's another reason our customers come back to us year after year.
