I haven’t bought a sewing machine for over thirty years. Recently I have started quilting. It’s early days for me but this machine has brought my machine sewing up to date. The features I most appreciated is the automatic needle threading, though took me quite a few times to get the hang of it, and the bobbin position, it has lots of other features too. The other great feature for me was a walking foot (comes with the machine) which is most definitely a big plus for quilting and has improved my quilting experiance no end. I’d bought a universal one for my old machine but even though it worked the movement when sewing caused the needle to keep dropping out, very frustrating. This was the reason I dedcided to go with this machine as it, in my opinion, a good starting machine for a new quilter as well as being a nice machine for every day sewing needs. The one thing which would make this machine perfect for me would be a larger throat area for bigger quilts to go through.

Singer Support was very helpful after I made a mistake and bought the wrong machine.
