Collection: Singer 1408 Accessories

Accessories for the Singer Promise 1408, a light, easy-to-use mechanical machine that sews everything from silk to denim.

That range of fabrics is where the right needle counts. Use a fine 70/10 universal or Singer microtex needle for silk and voile, a 90/14 for everyday cotton and a jeans needle for denim. All are standard 130/705H needles, which the 1408 takes, and we stock both Singer and Schmetz.

Bobbins are Class 15, in packs of 5 or 10. Useful feet to add include a zipper foot, a blind hem foot and a 3mm rolled hem foot for finishing lightweight fabrics.

Change the needle when you change fabric weight. A 70/10 will bend or break on denim.
