    Singer Heavy Duty HD6805 - Ex Display

    The machine was well packed, no marks on it, in very good condition. But the self-threader mechanism just doesn’t work for me (apparently only works with certain needle sizes?) and it came with no manual, only the quick start guide. As it’s quite a complex machine, it should have instructions with it. When I contacted Singer, I was told they were online. Had to print them myself!

    I bought off the website that is so comprehensive that I did not need to talk to an agent to clarify anything. I did ask Live Sewing to recommend a machine for my requirements and they recommended the same model that I found so I felt confident it was right for me. I am still learning how to use the machine but, so far, it has been excellent. My only con is the Dust Cover that came with the machine. It was a bit tacky and was not long enough to fit over the base. However, there are lots of Dust Covers on Amazon and I found one that was exactly the right size and I doubt Singer could have provided one as good without adding to the cost?
