Choose from eight different styles of buttonholes from the classic bartack style through to round end and keyhole styles that suit menswear and outerwear. Basic, stretch, and decorative stitches are all at your disposal as well as alpha-numeric patterns so that projects can be personalised with lettering. A 40-character memory means you can return to a successful idea time and again.
This gloriously advanced Singer quilting machine has a programmable needle Up/Down to make sewing appliques and topstitching a breeze, with a Speed Control lever to help with more intricate detailing. PROS: The machine is genuinely made up of good quality metal chassis and parts inside while plastic sturdy body ouside so light to carry but sturdy for use. Stitching is easy tried lot of patterns and it's an easy task even for a new person. The stitch patterns are crisp and clean. Happy with the looks. The extension table is also very useful. As per my first experience till now its excellent and all thumbs up. Shall share my long term reviews after enjoying stitching for a while. CONS: Honestly not yet but need some practice with auto threading being the new tech for me but it's all upto user skills and practice . Also wished it came with a hard protective cover for safe storage coz so much I liked it. Posting photo of some first sample random stitches.
I've bought this to replace my more basic singer promise. I love the new features, in particular the needle up/down function and the adjustable speed which has made sewing around curves, bias binding etc much easier and more controllable. It also has more markings on the footplate, so it is easier to be very accurate with your seam allowances. I like that the needle can be moved over to the left or kept central, it made it easier to insert a zip in my project. I haven't used anywhere near all the functions yet, but so far I'm really happy. I was also impressed that it came with a walking foot.
The sewing machine is all I wished for. Sews really well and easy to understand. Having the option of the foot or the automatic sewing is a great feature. I am a bit disappointed with the stitch display screen. It is really hard to see as I have my machine facing the window. I think if it had a back light to illuminate it a bit that would’ve been better. I am a bit disappointed with the free sewing machine feet as one of them was already sold with the machine hence I have two of the same but I appreciate is was “free”. Overall I am happy with this product and look forward to years of sewing beautiful things

My machine is the Quantum 9960 which I decided to buy instead of the Confidence. It is amazing and will keep me entertained for years to come. It is the ultimate upgrade I've waited for. Cannot fault the customer service and help. Everything is done next day too so no frustrating waits😊
Love this machine, I previously bought a different make one but try as I may it just could not thread the machine where the top cotton went over the metal arm but with this one the metal arm actually locks in the cotton with the metal arm, the spool is also much easier to thread, machine smooth stitching. Love it.
A good machine that does what it should. Light so I’ll definitely be able to take it to workshops etc.

So far, so good! There's plenty to explore on my new machine, bought to replace a hand-me-down machine that wasn't up to the job of sewing a quilt for my niece's wedding present. I'm hoping to be able to do some fancy quilting with it on the same project later on in the year. The new machine is easy to thread and operate, and I really like the fact that you can limit the speed, and choose needle up/down. These might only be basic functions, but they do make a difference!
It was a replacement of an earlier model which was a birthday gift for our daughter, purchased from Hobby Craft in September this year and subsequently discontinued from sale by Hobby Craft. It was a little pricey and above our budget but our Daughter is absolutely delighted with it.
I bought this for my grandson and he loves it.. The only disappointment was the free gift as I felt it was very cheap and tacky…..

My singer machine is wonderful, its so easy to operate so a complete beginner could learn on this machine and it has up to 200 stitches and some embroidery stitching too so it it is good for someone who is quite competent too. The bobbin is front loading and you don’t have to feed it through to the needle it it automatically done. There is a speed control and a reverse button too. It’s a fabulous machine.it also came with an extension table, which I love to use. It gets five stars from me.

I am a beginner at sewing and bought a small starter machine elsewhere, but found it difficult to use, as the machine was powerful enough to go through layers of fabric, and it was difficult to thread, etc. i decided to treat myself to a more advanced machine, which ironically is much easier to use for a beginner - automatic needle and bobbin threader, etc. lots of control over how fast (or in my case, how slow!) you can sew and it easily sees together several layers of fabric. I love it and would totally recommend it for beginners and experienced sewers!

I couldn't be happier with my 1st sowing machine. Despite being a total novice, it was very easy to understand its controls. The speed control promotes accuracy. The endless variety of beautiful stitches inspires me to never get bored and an automatic 1-button hole system makes me feel brave to undertake more advanced projects. Having test-drives a few basic singer machines, I'm very happy to have invested a bit more. Very good quality.
Love this machine. Quiet. Lightweight does what it says on the tin. Only thing would be the embroidered letters bigger and clearer. But it’s perfect for me as I’m not a professional. Love the fact you can change the speed.
signer confidence 7640 sewing… I purchased my signer confidence 7640 sewing and quilting machine as I am very keen in arts and crafts. I decided I this machine as it was not to basic but not to advance for someone that is just getting started with sewing and making garments for my self. I feel that the machine is not to heavy to pick up to put on to the table or work startion where ever your doing your podject. One of my favourite things about this sewing machine is that you can alter speed from very slow to very fast witch for me I find very useful as I can keep going straight instead of going of. The machine is able to do a variety of stitches as well as letters. The screen is clear so you can see you stitch selection whitch mimic on you stitch card that comes with your machine. The machine came with a variety of different pressure feet so you don't have to purchase anything extra ones you are all set ready to start sewing. I found really easy to set it up and thred the machine as has a self threader system. You can still to the old fashion way if you wish but I have found it much easier with the other method. The drop in spool dispenser is brilliant and so easy to use and set up. I sertinly would recommend to anyone new to sewing or doing dress making or even going to college this machine will be perfect.
As an improving beginner I wanted a machine that would grow with me. This has an array of options that I am sure will meet all my future needs. The variable speed has been a bonus, sometime I just need to go slower, whilst on straight seems the speed can be increased. I also like the start/stop button on the machine. Mobility issues mean that I can often not sew due to having to press with a peddle. I did not realise that the machine had this feature, but was happily surprised. Only issue is that the letters are narrowing as they stitch. I’m not sure if this is my fault, or the machines.Overall I would recommend this product and Live Sewing.
Mostly happy with this machine, only shame is you can't make the letters bigger.
I found the singer 7640 just what I wanted . Its excellent and has lots of different stitches and you don't need the foot control to make it work. it will work by pressing the button. I have one leg.
Very pleased with product and delivery and especially the promotion price.
