I am very pleased with my machine - very smooth running and easy to handle. Only one snag - I am having difficulty getting it to shir. This should be super easy so it is disappointing. If you have any tips I’d be very pleased to find out why I am having problems with this one thing. Thank you
This machine is so easy to use a fantastic machine for beginners and to be honest it does everything you need a machine to do for all projects from making clothes to curtains using heavyweight fabric etc . It lightweight but sturdy and stable the threading guide is so easy to follow and with the spool case being where it is that is so easy to use all in all a fantastic machine.
Love that it has so many stitches and is easy to use. I do need a magnifying glass to use the needle threaded, or get my husband to do it for me. I will soon have a dedicated space for the machine and my sewing! My 1st machine was a Singer in 1956 then a Frister Rossman in 1973. This machine is my 2nd Singer and my 3rd sewing machine.

I bought the Fashion Mate 3342 to replace my 40yr old machine that went kaput! Reviews looked good from users of varied experience. The machine is lightweight but sturdy, great for carrying. Instructions are easy to follow and there are lots of videos online for more help. With older eyes now, I like the needle threading function - worked fine first go! I've tried a few stitch patterns and they have all sewn easily with good results. I look forward to trying more functions. Overall a good modern machine.

I absolutely love my new sewing machine- I so wish I had replaced my wee lightweight basic one years ago. Has given me a new found enthusiasm for sewing projects. Easy to use, very intuitive. Solid build but light enough to easily lift into carrying case.
Easy to use beginner machine
Needed a new machine after my current one of over 20 years started failing. Took me a while to get to grips with it but overall the best purchase to be made by buying the fashion mate model. Well built machine and makes sewing easy too!
I’ve not used a sewing machine before, I've found it very easy to thread the needle, load the bobbin and change the foot - all in all I'm very impressed and will enjoy using it on my learning to sew journey

Very happy with my new singer machine I would certainly recommend it though I’m still persevering with the needle threader it’s very hit and miss but I hope to master it one day but I would give it 5 stars
I am still getting used to using my machine. As a beginner it’s tricky but having said that, the instructions are excellent & have proved invaluable.
I purchased this sewing machine based off of reviews and it certainly does not disappoint, this is my first sewing machine and with such ease of set up and use it’s been a true joy, highly recommended , well deserving of five stars :)

Good quality machine with enough features for a beginner and not too fast!
A bit fiddly to thread and I can’t get the automatic needle threader to work so I threaded the needle the manual way. But overall I’m very pleased with it.
Purchased as a replacement for my 20yr old Janome machine, I was pleasantly surprised. I wanted something with stitch length and automatic button holes. I wasn’t disappointed. After using one which was bought 50 years ago this is a dream to use. Buttonholes perfectly sized and stitched, lightweight, controls easy to work. Only minor problem the autothreader is a bit hit and miss

I got this machine about 3 weeks ago and i really like it so far and i’m very happy with it, although there was a problem with the automatic needle threader but I have now rectified the problem and all is working fine
