I'm new to all this. Had a great crash course from a friend before buying the 5511. Absolutely love it! Nice solid piece of equipment without being an oversized eyesore. But what I've done so far has a breeze on this machine. Took the advice off investing in all the good quality support tools too. Just need to learn to sew properly now.

My old 1960s machine finally gave up. Replace it with the 5511 (4411) heavy duty upgrade. Love how light it is as I have to move it a lot in my small space. The footprint is slightly smaller too so makes storing it easier. Love the little accessories storage on the front, easy to access whilst sewing, removable to make it easier to sew around small hems, and just about big enough to hold the most useful and often used accessories. Not trying to do anything flash with the machine, but have enough stitch programs to surpass what I need as a returning sewer, and especially like the buttonhole settings. The supplied cover is a bit thin, so the deal with the free machine bag was a bargain and a necessity. Very happy so far.

Very happy with the sewing machine. It is solid and sews beautifully. It replaces my singer 319k which I’ve owned for 50 years. The advice I was given before buying was very helpful and much appreciated. The only downside was the courier company. There was no choice of delivery day and it was impossible to change it. There was a time slot but it was four hours and the delivery was actually an hour after that. We had friends staying that day and I had to wait in while they carried on with the plans I’d made. Not the most convenient arrangement.

Replaced a 30 year old Toyota machine, Nice free upgrade to newer model. first impressions well made nice machine, found the threading needle a bit fiddly and seemed to have some issues with getting tension right, few instances where cotton snapped, overall performing well so far with few alterations attempted, copes well with varying material thickness, so far so good Fast delivery

I’m liking it so far, though I have only just today properly set it up and tried it out. I’m still getting used to the stitches, but can’t quite figure out the diagrams for the hemming stitch. My only complaint is I find the light so bright it reflects on the polished steel and dazzles me when I’m trying to thread the cotton through the needle! On the whole though it’s a very nice sewing machine

Love my machine - is everything I hoped it would be, solid, straightforward and simple. Bobbin winder is excellent, tension dial is straightforward, bobbin loading is easy. Stitching is great, nothing skips and no unevenness. I have mentioned before that the advertising photos are misleading - some of them show a needle threader. I would have liked a needle threader but can manage fine. Also expected grey and got white. But, the machine is FAB!!!
