The combination of more powerful motor, more metal components and a dual pulley system driving the needle gives you that extra penetration power to tackle the heavier projects when needed on a long lasting durable and dependable machine. They also sew faster than a regular machine at full speed should you want to, but are completely controllable going down to 1 stitch per second when using the foot controller.

The Singer Heavy Duty 6605 is built with a full metal frame to reinforce and hold in place its components when sewing at high speeds of up to 1100 stitches-per-minute. A heavy duty sewing machine with a motor that is 60% stronger than standard ones, it’s also 30% faster too, and has a selection of 100 stitch patterns with 215 applications.

Enhanced piercing power can see you sew tough fabrics with ease, including denim, faux fur, and thin types of leather. It can also deal with sewing multiple layers of fabric together without an issue. The free arm design helps you sew hems, and cuffs with less hassle so that tricky tubular costume features are no longer so awkward to achieve. The free arm is also great for quilting, and with the drop feed feature too, you can quilt freehand designs without fear of jamming your needle.

With an extra high presser foot setting so that thicker fabrics slide through without bunching, it also comes with a selection of feet for different stitches and types of sewing.

    I had a singer 3232, which was good but needed something a bit sturdier. I bought the HD6605 from singer. It arrived quickly and well packaged. I have been using it on a jacket. It is sturdy and I like the number of stitches. The bobbin fitting is easy and I love the fact it can thread the needle for me. Less squinting.

    Great value. Lovely easy to use machine. The Online instruction manual is somewhat challenging to locate but i got there eventually. The cover that comes with the machine is woefully inadequate though. It is composed of flimsy material and is do thin it’s see through. A thicker pvc type cover would have offered slightly more protection. Customer service is fabulous and the whatsapp messaging service to speak to an expert is a great addition to this. Cant fault delivery - it was rapid and not through UPS for which I’m eternally grateful! Altogether it is a solid 5 for quality of the machine and accessories.

    The machine has been ok to use so far. My previous machines are a Concerto 2 bought in 1998! A great machine, strong and durable and HD on 4000 series, ok but not my favourite. I had problems getting the manual which I needed as some of the features are different from my other machines. Started using on Sunday, all good so far
