The S01 overlocker saves you time because it sews a seam and a seam finish at the same time, while trimming away the excess seam allowance. Seams and seam finishes just like those on shop-bought garments are possible thanks to the overlocker. You can use 2, 3 or 4 threads for a variety of stitch combinations.

Sew narrow hems on napkins, or stitch up a knit top with seams that stretch with the fabric without popping. Sew a decorative edge around a fleece blanket for an extra bit of flair.

Differential feed lets you sew super-stretchy fabrics without wavy distortion, and sheers without puckering. The built-in free arm makes it possible to sew around small sleeves and cuffs - great for children's clothing and more. You'll love the professional results your overlocker gives your projects.

  • Built-in stitches (6) - choose from a variety of stitches for basic sewing, decorative sewing and more.
  • Adjustable stitch length - customise the appearance of a stitch by increasing or decreasing the distance between stitches. Use this function for various stitch techniques such as appliqué, basting and more.
  • Adjustable stitch width - the size of the stitch from left to right is adjustable, so the stitch can sew narrower or wider as desired.

  • Built-in rolled hem - just slide a lever to convert the machine for rolled hem sewing, with no need to change the stitch plate.
  • Movable upper knife - the upper knife can be engaged to trim excess seam allowance as you sew, or rolled out of the way for special techniques such as flatlocking, or any time you don't want the machine to trim.
  • Heavy duty metal frame - the machine's interior frame is metal, providing long-lasting durability.
  • High speed stitching (1,300 per minute) - professional speed for faster results.

Just showing you a bit of Singer history still going strong since 1957. I find it much easier to sow accurately as I get a far better view of my work than with the modern conformation. Also the tubular bed so good for sewing fiddly things. The incandescent bulb is the original, so much easier on the eyes and lights the work well. The interlocker machine needs to be sold with curved tweezers as the straight ones are inadequate, especially as I am left handed. I hope you liked seeing my treasured Singer 222k.

Fiddly to thread but once I got the hang of it it was ok. Love how easy it is to produce a professional finish on garments. Great for stretch fabrics. Has taken a lot of the nervousness out of using four way stretch. A really good compact addition to my sewing machine, wish I'd bought one earlier!
